Thanks Rob! The jeep is in Starkville now, and I started the body work yesterday afternoon. This thing has crazy rust.
Chip, it's a 4wd engine. I was told on Pirate4x4 that the 2wd had a shallower pan. I'll look into it.

My paint arrived this morning via FedEx and a $21 HazMat surcharge on top of shipping...It's the correct MilSpec color from Aervoe Industries - part no. 997AG in case anyone wants some. They only sell it in aerosols or a 2 gal. bundle, so I went with the 2 gal. bundle, which should be enough to paint everything. Would y'all paint the frame, axles, springs, etc...green or black? Originally, everything was all green as you know. I am leaning toward that route, so the jeep would hopefully look like an overgrown M38 like Barry Bonds looks like an overgrown human

I would stay as close to mil spec as I could... well, except for axles, motor, tranny, blah you get the point.
I say green
what's the part number for the aerosol?

PN is the same for the aerosol. The paint is the correct M38 color, and Aervoe has the correct colors for all models of military vehicles. I'll post pics of the M38 green; it seems to be a bit darker than regular OD green. I would paint the axles, leafs, frame, etc...green since that's the way it came.

I would have to go green all the way as well. Maybe black on the axles as they will need the most touching up from scars and scrapes. Flat black will usually cover up a multitude of sins.

That will look good, Brad. They have different shades of OD green, so you can find your flavor.
