Rob, I talked to BJ from the park.We have an RV site and a tent site reserved. The park is open on the 27th and there are no conflicting circumstances so we will be able to ride that day and all of the other days scheduled also. I do know that they are hosting chili cookoff ride or something like that starting the 29th but he said that there would be no problems.

I have ruled out the camper and I am focusing on my 1 ton and trailer.
Those who are camping: What do you think about getting 1 RV site with full hookups and putting our tents on it so that we will have electricity and water. We could split the cost of the site and maybe come out cheaper.
Chip, are you for sure bringing a wire welder? It would be no sense in me bringing one if you are. I would be glad to bring mone if you prefer. Should I throw my acetelyne torch rig in the truck? I have big bottles, but I can make them fit in the truck.

I don't think the rv sites are very good for tents... I think it is mostly gravel. there are water spigots close to the tent sites, but as far as electricity, there will be folks from cmsja we could bum a plug from for the welder or what not.

I wasn't worried about welding, I was worried about having a little heat in my tent - like an electric blanket.

I looked at the park's December newsletter, and it says the park will be closed until the 28th. BC, you talked to BJ and he said they will be open on the 27th? I just wanted to make sure...
i hooked up a CB in my Bronco today, so I'm ready in that respect. also went to gardendale last weekend as a warm up. tomorrow i'm building a new bumper for my 8274 then i'll be ready.
