The 27th sounds good to me as well. Chip what is going to be your route? I guess our best route from here will be Tupelo/Memphis/Little Rock. yeah, thats the best way from there...

I will be going west on 20, then at tallulah, taking hwy 65 north through Pine Bluff and 270 into Hot Springs. Ive driven this road before and its pretty pleasant.
or I may go up 49 north, take 82 west, cross the river, and take 65 north from there...

Did we decide to leave on the 26 or 27th? I am game either way. I'm leaving on the 26th with family to Little Rock so I probably won't be in the convoy. Planning on heading to Hot Springs for wheelin' on the 28th and 29th (after a few family gathering days) and head back home on the 30th. I suppose we're gonna set up a meeting place each morning or something? Would be nice to meet everyone and check out rigs before hitting the trails.

I have penciled the 27th in for departure date. I would like to leave WP around daylight. BC, do you want to meet up in Tupelo so you want be going to far out of your way. I figure that will be a good place to eat breakfast. Any suggestions on a place to meet for breakfast?
What do you say about 7:00 a.m. in Tupelo?
I changed the fluid in my straight shift tranny in the C60 last night and a single needle bearing fell out. It was a small needle bearing similar to one that would be in a shift rail or something. There was also significant metal shavings on the magnet in the bottom. This has me a little concerned about taking the big truck. If the tranny drops then that is a big truck to have to deal with. You don't just put it on a 16' car hauer trailer and bring it home. Would any of you be concerned about this?

well, I took off to Charlotte in a 1976 school bus painted purple with a flamed hood and the back cut off... maybe I am not the one to ask.... by the way, we made it to Tuscaloosa that time... We took it to Talladega twice, and tried one more time, but only made it to Mathiston... hey, we were 50%

rob and bc that sounds good to me. Schockley's serves good Southern breakfasts that stick to your ribs, but it may be easier just to go to Waffle House by the mall since it's close to Hwy 78. And there's always Chik-fil-A up there too.
rob, i'm probably wouldn't run that transmission unless i stuck that needle back in there. seems like that would stop the problem with shavings. are those transmissions hard to find?
