I am estimating fuel to cost around $.50 a mile (700 mile round trip) if I take my big truck and camper. Is it worth it? Heck yeah - half the fun for me is the adventure of just getting there. What about communication? Are any of you going to be suited up with cb's, FRS radios, are just relying on cell phones? I don't have a CB in my truck or buggy yet so I wanted to see if enough of you have them to justify me installing one.

I would at least put one in the buggy. They come in handy on the trails.

nothing worse than getting left behind and can't tell anybody to hold up... not a big deal at a place like Gray rock, but at a place like HS the trails are considerably longer.

I pulled my 30' fifth wheel camper behind my C60 for the first time last night. The truck didn't even know it was back there. The whole rig put together looks monsterous. I haven't put the buggy on the bed yet, but I will try that this afternoon. I am afraid that the buggy and camper are going to be close in extreme corners. I will certainly add to the "redneck" factor on the way to Ark.
Did we decide to leave on the 26 or 27th? I am game either way. It would be helpful to have one more day to prepare, but I am not planning on getting much sleep over the next week or so.

I probably won't be able to leave until the 29th... End of the month is a tough time to take off.

The 27th sounds good to me as well. Chip what is going to be your route? I guess our best route from here will be Tupelo/Memphis/Little Rock.
