well right now its got 30x9.50 mud kings. they are brand new but they are the tires that came on it when we bought it. we're probably gonna put some 33x12.50 on there before too long but we haven't decided what kind to get yet though...

:-*WOW those are some bad looking tires! I bet all three of them will tear up some mud. that top set looks the best i think. i still want some street value to them but i need some tires that will eat mud like noone else's business. thanks for the suggestion .... i'll look into them

I am not so sure about those tires. They look pretty, but I think that is all. To me they look like Super Swamper Thornbirds. Thronbirds are mean looking tires, but they fill with mud and don't clean out very well. So in essence they become a round doughnut of spinning mass. My brother bought a set of thornbirds and was dissatisfied from day one.

Super Swamper TSL's or Boggers are tried and true. I have never had any regrets with my TSL's. That also is the only tire I have ever run so I may be a little biased

yeah, i just suggested these because i heard the growlers (the top pic) had decent tread life on it, but it looks like they have good sized voids in it, cant see how mud would stay in there... isnt that the problem with thornbirds, they have big lugs but not enough space b/w them for the mud to escape from? of course, you could always groove them too, which is always fun

Anyone had any experience with Interco's TrXus MT's? I'm going to buy a set with my lift in a couple of months and see how they turn out.

thanks for all this feed back about tires. this is really helpful. i had originally looked into getting some thornbirds but since i've been hearing you guys talk i've turned away from them. my dad isn't too fond of boggers even though i am ... imagine that. i was also looking at some toyo m/t. i'm still open to any suggestions you guys have on tires. thanks

if you plan to drive on the street much I would suggest staying away from the boggers and get a radial tire, something like an SSR

i like the toyo m/t's....
if you are going to get a tire that last on the road, i would stay away from super swampers all together, just because their rubber, even in the radials, is softer than other m/t's like bfg, pro comp, etc...
but super swamper does make one of the best, if not the best, mud tire

I don't think you will ever find anybody that would disagree with you.

and I have to point out that even my 35 Regul Trailblazers handled great on the road and wore very little... are now on their third vehicle. I never had a complaint with them off road either... They always did what they were supposed to do.

this is really helpful ... thanks guys. i do like the super swamper LBT's and the SSR's. they come in a wide variety of sizes and they aren't terribly expensive. i still like the toyo m/t too. they have an awesome tread pattern and all my friends with toyos really like them. keep on talking guys, this is fun

Anyone had any experience with Interco's TrXus MT's? I'm going to buy a set with my lift in a couple of months and see how they turn out. I've never run them but always heard the TrXus M/Ts are a great tire for a daily driver. You get the off-road grip of a mud terrain, with the on-road drivability of an all terrain. I think the only downside is that they can sometimes be hard to balance on steel wheels and the tread life is only about 30,000 miles.
