To all board members: We have a Gray Rock ride 7-8 July. This will be a private ride for Mississippi 4x4s only. The cost is $75.00 for Saturday and Sunday. We need max participation for this event. There's a bunch of us who always say "I'll be there for the next ride." Well, this is the next ride. What is Gray Rock: Gray Rock is 2100 acres of the best riding trails in the South. Normally there are 400-600 trucks at an organized event. This ride will be limited to JUST Mississippi riders. The traffic will be next to none and the dust will be minimal! There are trails for any level of truck - stock to big rigs - and there are enough of each you will not be able to ride them all in two days. This is a special ride and the perfect time to experience Gray Rock when it is not so pressured by hundreds of trucks. We can expect a great time and enough memories for the rest of the summer. There is primitive camping and if that's not your thing, hotels are close by. Most of us are tent camping but there may be some camper trailers. Check out www.Grayrockorv.com for park information or PM Bonehead or visit www.cafb4x4.proboards82.com. We will probably depart Columbus early Saturday morning. Its a 2 1/2 to 3 hour ride to the Rock. More info will be forthcoming - watch the boards for more details. You do not want to miss this! Thanks to BCJeep for getting the park reserved for this ride.

My wife just "reminded me" that the 8th is her birthday, and she didn't want to spend it at Greyrock. It looks like I will have to skip this one.

What a present for her that would be. I'll pay the $5.00 for her to go as a passenger just because I like birthdays and all! There you go, problem solved! Wives like free stuff.

I told her I was planning on taking her on a vacation to a secluded mountain range where she could enjoy the sun and the scenery. Needless to say, she didn't go for it. I am still trying to convince her to celebrate her bday the weekend before. We will see, I'm not giving up yet.

How many people are definitely going to be participate at this event? I would, but I would be limited to only downhills.... my Jeep doesn't have any axles yet I should be picking up a rear end and transmission this weekend though...

How many people are definitely going to be participate at this event? I can't say "definitely", but I'm on the fast track to getting the CJ trail worthy again and I really want to go. Never thought it would take this long. -jim
