Oh, yeah. If you're going to Memphis, or through Memphis, going 82 to 55 is definitely faster then 45 to 78. Went to Memphis last month and made it in 2.5 hours via 82-55 where it has always been 3 hours before. I didn't really time the delta route since it was late at night and we stopped mid-trip to eat. Hadn't looked at the map since then up really close. I just remember it was straight, flat and not a lot of traffic though there was more two lane roads. Although, there won't be much traffic at 3 am either way. Maybe we'll go Memphis. Who knows.

Well, we are back. We went the delta route and it took us 6 hours from Starkville. It is definitely the route to take. Even if it wasn't shorter, it would still be the route due to the decreased stress of four lane traffic.
This was a real good ride. We rode Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. Riding with CMJSA group was a lot of fun. We pretty much ran everything we wanted to and a lot of stuff twice.
Hot Springs still ranks as number 1 on my list of places to ride. It was the most crowded I had ever seen it and it still wasn't as bad as Grey Rock generally is.

We are back also. Had a great time. Yeah, the parking lot area was real crowded but the trails never felt crowded. There are just so many of them, that everyone can spread out. I had never thought I would have wished for a little rain, but something to cut down on the dust would have been nice.
I have to agree on the four lane stress. We ended up going the Memphis route there and back and it still took around six hours with all the traffic on I40. I think your are right, it's the delta route from now on.
If it weren't for fuel problems, I think the CJ would have gone everywhere I wanted it to. The suspension changes I made worked well although lower gears would have helped a lot. Rode Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday, mostly on the guided runs. Saw several of the CMSJA guys but I missed you somewhere along the line. Perhaps next time.

If it's the CJ in the video, you'd be looking for harrell79cj5 on this board. He's down in Vicksburg now I think so he may frequent the CMSJA board as well ( forums.cmsja.org). He and I were the only two yellow CJ5's there I think. -jim
