Here's the problem: My Check engine light has been going on and off over the past few months because of my oxygen sensors, so I imagine that my cat is pretty well clogged with crap, also, along the tailpipe, where the cat is welded up, the weld is absolute crap and there are holes all around the pipe, so i probably need a new cat and o2 sensor my solution: i was thinking i would cut the cat out, and replace it with straight pipe and keep the muffler, get an o2 simulator and be done with it i know that this is illegal and carries a big fine and all, but here in MS we dont have emmissions checks, so i am really not worried about it, has anyone ever done this? any experience with o2 simulators? my biggest concern: how loud is my 318 v8 going to be without a cat?? i dont want to get in trouble because it is too loud and i do enjoy the use of my hearing www.o2simulator.com/

did you ever get any pipe to replace the cat? I still have that piece that came off of mine if you want it before I scrap it.
