Anybody have any experience with t-case doublers specifically a NP203/NP205 behind a Ford C6? I have a cracked adapter and I am thinking about going back with a doubler in the buggy if I am going through the trouble. I have found that even with a 6.72:1 gear ratio in my diffs that it is still not low enough with 44" tires/NP205 and stock C6. There are times whe I was going downhill that I needed a lower gear to keep from overheating my pinion brakes up so much.
Anybody know of any reputable adapters besides the usual Advance adapter and so forth?

I believe John Cole from CMSJA is running that setup behind a ford tranny, not sure if c4 or c6. You may try a post over there.

I just got off the phone with Duffy from D&D . He built these for a while but stopped because he didn't feel it was worth it. That conversion is very long, very heavy and would only get you down to about 4 to 1. You can give him a call and he will gladly tell you all about it. (360)779-2500

Thanks guys for the info. I looked at a couple of those links and it solved a lot of questions for me. I happen to be able to put my hands on a Ford NP203 and which will bolt up to the spare adapter that I bought this weekend. I will have to buy a 2wd C6 since my bellhousing is cracked and switch the main shaft out of the tranny that I bought this weekend since it is a big block bolt pattern. David, I have considered the issues of length and weight. I am a little concerned with weight, however length is not even an issue with my setup. My rear driveshaft is 4 feet long now. I felt in Hot Springs that I needed just a slight lower gear and I feel that the 4:1 will give me what I need. Hopefully, even when Santa Claus brings me those 54 inchers this Christmas (wishful thinking).

I would buy from sumner or stazworks based on what I have read on Pirate about quality and price.
Don't write off finding a C4 and doing a dana 20 doubler. There may be other ford doublers out there other than 203/205 that would better suit your needs.
