Theres gear oil leaking out of my diff at the yoke on the front axle, do I need a new seal? Is it difficult to do, b/c Ive never replaced one. Ive never had problems out of it, but I did just rotate the front axle backwards to straighten out my springs and adjust the driveshaft angle, which makes the pitch further back and could cause it flow out, but it shouldnt do this anyways, right? I just put new gear oil in it too.

I would think since the gear oil is coming out of the yoke that it's the pinion seal that's bad. I've replaced the pinion seal before on my high pinion 30. It's not hard. You have to remove the pinion nut and the yoke, which is the hardest part. The nut is held on really tight. I think I used a 3' breaker bar on my ratchet to get it off. Once you remove the yoke, just destroy the seal to remove it and install the new one. It probably only takes an hour or so. -RC

Don't get the cheap pinion seal from O'reilly. We ended up tearing it up trying to get it seated.
