i've worked on just about everything on a jeep but the running gear.i can get a set of 4.10 gears for my jeep(it is currently running with 3.73 gears) at a very very good price.they were ordered for a dana 35 which is what i have.what else would i need to get or do to install these? any help or input would be great.

You will need matching gears for your Dana 30 and 2 install kits. Setting up gears is easy... take it to a professional. It is complicated, involves special tools, and if it isn't exactly right you could really screw something up. If you find somebody that will give you a good price on setting them up, let me know. I need to re-gear also.

i know a guy up in florence, al that does really good work and will do one axle for around $100.
the hwy 25 garage in da ville also sets up gears and supposedly do a good job
i've set up a couple and i'll be doing it again in a few weeks on my d-60 but i don't recommend it unless you are really patient. it can take forever to get the correct pattern, backlash, and bearing preload.
i'm with brad, take it to a shop, unless you're strapped for cash like me.

I've done a few and only recommend doing it yourself if it is something that is trail only or you do not drive much.
Offroad connection in Birmingham will set one up for about $100 and they do them every day.

new bearings if you need 'em, shims, a crush sleeve if you need it, pinion nuts, and some gear marking compound if your guy doesn't have any.

That job is not easy. If it is not done EXACTLY right it will be noisy and not last very long. Brad saw what happend to my old '79 chevy truck rear end. (The pinion gear actually ground into the carrier.) My dad had it rebuilt, but it always made a roaring sound, and it finally locked up. I found a complete rear end in the tradewinds, same ratio as the front axle, for cheaper than i could have rebuilt the old one. You never know what you will find in the classifieds.
