Is the flasher located in the steering column? How do you get to this thing? My right turn signal has been sticking (on but not flashing) for a while and now my left is doing the same. I figure I may just need to clean the contacts or at worse replace the clicker thingy... any suggestions?

I am not sure about your Jeep, but my Chevy has separate circuit breakers for the blinkers and the hazzard. I just had to deal with that after I fried one in my duelly truck. That is the clicker thingy that you are talking about.
All that should be in your steering column is the mecanical contact for the flashers. Since you say that they are coming on and not flashing tells me that all of that stuff is ok. The clicker should be in your fuse box or underneath your dash on the drivers side.
