Reacently I lost a good bit of horse power I think the cat. is stoped up or somthing it only has 64000 miles on it but when you get on the skinny petal you get that rotted egg smell and it seems I have to stomp the gas to get up to freeway speeds. has anybody ever had this happen

Rotten egg smell is most likely a bad cat. Mine smelled like that before I replaced it. Does it rattle any? Mine rattled too. I bought a brand new magna flow high flow cat off of some Ebay store for around $40 shipped (new). I'm surprised it's bad though after only 64K miles. Seems like it should last longer than that. -RC

When my Cat went bad (stopped up) I just hollowed it out and put it back on the truck with no problems.

well scratch the cat I took it off and drained my gas tank filled it up with fresh 93 octan and a couple bottels of heet to make sure there was'nt ant water in the fuel system. When I took the cat off it was clean so I guess it was bad gas. any way removeing the cat gave me some extra ponys, I'm haveing a flowmaster exhaust put on next week thanks for the help guys.
