I am faced with a decision. I can get Jason's 727 for $50, probably needs a rebuild (got a guy here that will do it for 200-250 bucks), or I can get a 999 here for $225 in running condition. I would like to know which one will be an easier swap if there would be a difference, and which one would be better. I feel like the 727 is a heavier duty tranny, but the 999 has a lower first gear (2.74 vs 2.45). I know that I will have to relocate the CPS on the 4.0 with the 727. Other than that, will there be any other things that will make swapping either one different? Opinions?
