Remember that time when my wheel fell off going down the highway? Yeah, good times. Well, I finally got around to fixing all the things it broke this past weekend. I went to Dixie Auto Parts in Columbus to get a knuckle, caliper bolts, and a new brake line. Their prices arent that bad, got all that plus there was a hub bolted on the knuckle that they threw in for free, and the total was only $55, and they pulled it, came off a 93 Cherokee I believe. Im not full blooded Wrangler anymore... oh well. Getting ball joints out sucks, not really that bad if you have the right size couplings, but I had to beat the bottom out with a hammer for about 30 minutes. I put new brake pads on and reconnected my brake line. I got the longest brake line they had at O'Reilys, but it was about half the length of the stock one, so I ran it behind the engine instead of down to the driver side frame rail, along the front bumper, and down the pass. side frame rail. Is this okay? Does the length matter, and will it get hot if its along the firewall? I bled the brakes, and my brakes seem really loose now, they work, but I have to push the pedal almost all the way down to get full braking. Sometimes my brake light comes on too, but I cant find any leaks. Oh, and I washed my jeep yesterday with a pressure washer, and now my blinker indicator (that annoying clicking sound when you have a bulb out) is clicking nonstop really fast, unless I turn the blinker on or press the brake. I guess I got some water on something, I didnt even spray the engine off. Who knows. Oh and I got my new tires on now, the 35" pro comp mts, so I may look a little different.
