Hey I got a question for you. I'm looking for some folks to ride with, but I dont exactly have a jeep. I have a Suzuki Samurai, and was wondering if this club was exclusively for jeeps. I also have a friend with a Z-71 and we're always looking for new folks and new ground to run over. Can we join?

Absolutely...all makes and models are welcome here.
BTW...I assume we went to SA and played little league together? If so, glad you're on board here! I ran into your dad and brother in Lowe's a few weeks ago and asked if they would say hello for me.

J/k man, welcome aboard! Just keep a thick skin about the sami, there's a ton of jokes I have stashed away for a rainy day!

Even the Jeeps that have transformed from members of this board are only lookalikes anyway. I am not going to poke fun at a Sammy, because it may be the very rig that smokes my buggy on the trails

Yeah, I've seen sami's crawl up rocks like they were nothing.
I've also seen a lot of sami's on their sides and upside down ;D

thanks a lot! I figured their could only be one person going by the name of broncocraigellis. You know I started out with the old style bronco. You may remember the old blue one we had. I blame that truck for getting me started off roading and ultimately leading me to the sami.
And good ole Allen Gresham huh? Good times. It's been a while, you still pickin the guitar?
I'm always up for samurai jokes but it doesnt even take an offroader to joke about mine. I've only had it about a year, and I knew it needed work when I got it. It wasn't even 4x4 when I got it plus I had to replace an exhaust valve, head gasket, and a clutch before I hit a deer. Then had to replace the radiator, lights, signals, build a grill and treated pine 4x4 bumper. Finally I found an old junk sami which I got a front axle from, and a guy in Columbus sold me a T-case. Finally converted it to 4x4 and the second time I took it out I tried to climb a hill that I shouldnt have and povalted on my exhaust pipe. Got that fixed and am ready to go. The whole point is, the samurai is aesthetically challenged, and needs a lift and good tires. But the money ran out.
As you were saying Chip that is the most major disadvantage to the samurai, though I hope to never turn mine over, it seems like it would be very easy to do. I've had several close calls. It takes every all of the 1.3 liters but the little dude will go! I do miss the kick of 8 cylinders badly but am very pleased by leaving the wallet at home when I go riding.
anyway anybody up for a local ride?
