What's everyone doing? Seems like the traffic has been down lately. I'm definitely guilty as a result of studying for my master's exam. I'm back now until essay writing time at the end of the semester.
What are you working on now?

I am working on making it to Friday afternoon! That is about all that I have time to do these days. In my spare time I am working on becoming a little over a 1/4 milion dollars in debt. I am buying some property in Kemper county. It takes a lot of time figuring out how to not lose your hat.
As far as mechanically speaking, one of my next ventures is rear steer in the buggy and a 203/205 doubler.

I'll echo that...Friday means the beginning of fall break, and I want to go riding.
Sounds cool Rob...well at least mechanically. It's not cool that you will go in debt.

We've been busy at work, too. Working long hours and weekends. I have my axles, ring & pinions, and lockers ready to install. I need to order new cross shafts for the lockers since the "deal" ones I got didn't include them.
I'm wanting to try out the Barnyard in Fulton sometime in the near future, too.
Later

I also have been busy with school, and trying to find a job for May. I also have been cutting firewood on weekends. The firewood is for a party we have every fall semester. Big bonfire! As far as my jeep I am working on the engine. I just got my rod bolt streach guage in the other day, so now I can get the bottom end finished.

I've been at my job now for 4 weeks at Taylor Machine Works. I love not having any HW to do at night, even though the days get long. I need to post up some pictures of the axles they got around here. They make rockwells look like toys. Craig- you around Starkville? I need to get a bill or sale from you before time gets away. I want to not have trouble at the DMV one day when the thing is street legal... Is Rob moving? Are you going to turn the property into a 4wd park? Time to get back to work... Later. -RC

Is Rob moving? Are you going to turn the property into a 4wd park? -RC No I am not moving. It is family land that we have been managing for years and the cousins are wanting out. The land actually has a huge mountain and even boulders as big as cars. I have entertained the thought of a place to ride, but I am not sure that I want to open it up to all of the erosion that could occur in an offroad park. I am going to watch the new place in Fulton to see how it fairs. However, I have no problems with the GTJC getting together to do a little riding. The first thing I am going to do is recover some of the timber to help pay for the land and establish some good trails.

Congrats on the land purchase, Rob. And my prayers are with you. I have found that dealing with family on most anything can wear on your patience, Well since we have had so much dry weather I have been extremely busy. I am running about 3 weeks behind on my work projects . Thankfully we have a good enough reputation that the people have been OK with waiting, We have also had soccer 5 and 6 days or nights a week (thats over for a little while now) . I brought home one of my projects Sunday afternoon. The Dodge 2500 4x4 .Its going to take a little work but not a whole lot. I am still on my Quest for the Holy Cheap Jeep , though .

I have been busy with work, Hayden, working on the house, etc. I haven't touched the Jeep in about 2 months. I have been slowly gathering parts to get it put back together bigger and better one day soon. I have just about all the big pieces (motor, axles, tcases, transmission, wheels) I just need some time to build the suspension. I am trying to keep myself talked out of putting all those parts into this:

I think that's his neighbor's buggy. I remember seeing those pictures a long time ago of it. I think the guy bought it from some company that used to take it to rock crawling competitions. I think brad had a thread about it on here. Check the projects section... -RC
