I feel a wobble in the front when i turn sharp. It feels like a lose wheel, but i jacked it up and there is no movement in either. I have checked all bolts for tightness.I have shook every thing. Any help would be great!

may be the wheel bearings, ive replaced mine twice since ive had my jeep... if that is the problem, i know where you can get some with lifetime warranty on them. its kinda late, i cant think of any other possibilities right now, but if i do, ill get back to you

I have noticed a slight grinding sound in my front end on my TJ. I haven't torn into my yet to see how it is setup. JWP said that there is unit bearing. Does that mean that the inside and outside wheel bearings come as one unit? How much does this ususally run Chip?

yes, there is a unit bearing. I have two spares if anybody wants them and they will work. As far as I know they are in good shape.

You can get the cheap ones with a 1 yr warranty for around $130 each, but if you want the lifetime warranty, theyre going to run about $200 each, but I think its worth it in my opinion. Or, you can get some used ones for cheap usually, I bought 2 used ones from a guy for $45 one time. They lasted a while, but not forever.

I know I may be steering this thread off of its intended purpose, but is it possible to convert to lockout hubs on a TJ? I really don't like the front-end spinning all of the time.

It just does it at a very slow speed, like turning around in a parking lot. Other than that it feels fine. If it was a bearing would'nt the wheel have a little play in it off the ground?

A wobble in the front end is nothing to play with. Most of the time if it was a joint you would feel it in the steering wheel. Look everything over in the front end very carefully. Also make sure that the 4wd is fully disengaged. In my old '78 chevy full time 4wd (np 203), when you turn around on concrete there is a slight wobble in the steering wheel from the 4wd on pavement.
