While I was refueling I heard a sizzling sound. Stopped fueling and looked under the rear to find one of the fuel return lines was dripping on my hot exhaust. No fire luckily. But now I am home and was tearing into the problem. I was wondering on the return lines, do you need the liquid check valve and another fuel filter near the tank? I assume I can reuse the check valve? And the filter seems to be the original which I will replace if I need to. But I assume there is a filter in the tank and I just put a new one in front of the carb, so why a third?

cj7. I went ahead and replaced the lines without the filter. I have one that is before the carb which branches off(return line) to the tank.
