Does anyone still talk on these? Thinking about putting one in my jeep.

I was going to bring that up at the next meeting. How do people like to communicate when out on the trial? I don’t think txt and cell phones are the way to go. So it’s shouting or CB’s . I plan to put mine in before the next ride.

I usually use the hand held.....I use them for hunting as well. No installation of radios or antennas necessary.

I think the question is not so much what type of CB hand held or mounted but just does anyone still use them in any form

I had one in the Mangler but don't currently have one in anything, yet.

Back in the day we all had them in our trucks, but I haven't had one in mine in the last 15 years. But if we do any kind of cruise/trails it sure would be nice to have. May just have to pull mine out of the deep dark corner of the closet and see is she still works!

I have one in the CJ because of the times I have been to the Superlift park in Little Rock. That is the preferred method of comms there. Or at least it was a couple of years ago. Cell service is spotty there and the main office monitors an emergency channel.

Its on my list of to do's. Probably going to go with handheld to start with just because of how often it will be used. I had used one for hunting and it seemed to work fine. Sold it now need to get a new one.

I have mine mounted on the passenger side of my center console by the shifter.
