Since RC broke all of the rules of a 4X4 site I will follow. I am just kidding RC. We are just gearheads that just happen to be 4x4 enthusiasts. I have my old '67 Ford pickup in my shop that I drove in high school. My grandfather bought this truck new so it has a lot of sentimental value. It has been in the barn for 15 years. it is time that she needs a little attention. My grandfather hauled fertlizer in the truck back in the day. That took a toll on the rear of the truck. Don't laugh at the repairs I made as a young teenager. I have learned how to weld a little better. There was absolutely nothing to weld to to make repairs. I scored this rear fram section out of a truck in the junkyard. Check out how much metal was missing. Frame section cut and prepped for the new section. Repaired frame! New bushings in the springs will be this afternoon . The next step is a complete rebuild of the front end.

Nice project. What size motor in it? Did you overlap the frame at all when you replaced the section, or is it just a butt weld? -RC

I love these body styles, I have a brother-in-law that had a lwb that was nice. It had ac, ps, pb and still got 15 mpg, then came a 550 hp 429 and it became a track truck, but it was still cool. His brother a F-350 that was redone witha flatbeld and aluminum tanks and custon interior that I tried to buy for years and he called and offered to sell it a week after I bought my z71, man!

I tapered the the cuts very well. The flat bed that will be built will add more stability.
