i used a commonly found 86-89 Toyota power steering box.
line one hole up on the frame. drill the other two holes out.
put bolts in the holes you just drilled and tighten nuts.
then cut down factory steering shaft and slip small DD shaft off the Toy into the large DD shaft on stock shaft from steering column.
go to a place that makes hydraulic hoses and get them to mate the SAE end of the factory pressure hose to the metric end from the Toyota box with about 15-20 inches of hose.
hook up return line and fill with fluid.
IF YOU RUN HEIM JOINTS ON STEERING LINKS: grind, drill, file, cut out with torch- the stock Toyota tie rod end that's in the pitman arm. then stick a bolt throulgh there and hook up your tie rod.
IF YOU RUN TIE ROD ENDS: go find a TRE that will fit on the Toyota pitman arm and thread into your tie rod.
bleed the air out of the system by raising the front tires off the ground and with motor running, saw the wheel back and forth for a few minutes. this should bleed the air out. if not, repeat.
enjoy your new steering box, b/c this is a great way to eliminate the problematic and notorioulsy weak stock Bronco box.
