on the shift knob, the shift pattern is on a disc that has a nut under it. it's a pain in the butt to get off and back on.

I was going to ask what your suggestions would be for a lift for an 06' unlimited. I have an 80' cj-7 and I know the cj's real well, but I would like to retain the ride quality of the tj. Every manufacturer is going to tell you there suspension kit is the best. That is why I'm asking real jeep owners what they think. I don't think I need a long arm but i would like to buy a complete kit where if I have a problem I can talk to the manufacturer and not have them blame a problem on some other manufacturers control arms etc. I noticed that a couple of you said you have a rough country 4". installed that is one I was looking at the other was a skyjacker 4" single flex. with the rough country costing considerably less. I would appreciate any suggestions Is a sye required did you use one or driveshaft change.

The best highway riding lifts are the ones that use rubber bushings. If you want to retain the ride, stay away from heim joints and those that have little absorbing factor. Rubicon Express and Teraflex are good ones that come to mind for use on the road.
