I guess you could run them the other way around, but you will still have to fab spring hangers on the rear.. you will be loosing departure angle... or run them backwards like I do and you could move the front spring hangers forward I guess, but it may be tricky to get the correct ride height... but yeah, anything can be done...

How would you compare the ride between the two? I would expect the XJ springs to ride much smoother. It wouldn't be a problem to fab new rear mounts, if the benefit was there.

It definitely rides better, but some of the improvement may be due to the extra wheelbase too. Also, I went from spring under 3.5 lift springs to soa stock xj's. I would imagine stock YJ's soa would be a huge improvement and a lot less work than the xj's if you don't want the stretch.

if you have a set of stock xj's I would trade you for some stock yj's if you wanted to.

nope... don't have any yet....
I would trade a pair of 3.5 inch springs for a full set of 4 yj springs though...
