Can high steer arms be mounted backwards on a dana 44 flat top knuckle? I think this is what Ill have to do to make the steering work, this way I wont have to move the steering box forward and I will only have to move the axle about 2" forward. The drag link will be on the front side, and the tie rod on the back side of the axle.

yeah that may work. they do make double ended arms just for that purpose though. also, you could look into a steering box that is reverse rotation. my buddy paul has one. instead of the pitman arm pointing toward the back of the vehicle, it points to the front. allows you to move the front axle foward w/out having to move steering box. it came off an '89 astrovan. he'll probably get rid of it if you want it. just an idea.
