Ive been playing around with different ways to trim my fenders.. think i found something i like.. looks like the YJ just took off his whole front fenders.. leaves engine compartment wide open.. I'm gonna try and do what the CJ did.. keeps the engine comp. closed in.. what do yall think?

I don't have a way to post pictures, but my jeep does not have front fenders. I only have a bar and a brace that attaches to the front stinger. It sure has helped with cooling issues.
I like the way that tube front fenders look, like poison spyders or blue torch makes.
You can not just take the fenders off because the fenders are what keep the radiator support in place.

the inner fenderwell can be kept intact while the the outer fender can be removed, with a little cutting near the top of the fender more towards the firewall(like the cj) the inner fenderwell keeps the radiator in place... your right i woulnt just take off my whole fenders

I made some fenders for a former CJ7 of mine. They were so rusty that all that was good of them was the inner fender wells. I just cut the top out to where it was flat and bent a piece of tubing to support the outside edge and welded it in. I personally would leave the inner wells in so that it wouldn't get your motor super muddy in case you were to get in some goo. I really like the flat fender look.
