no tubing bender, but i met a guy on the CMSJA board, and hes got a hydraulic bender, plasma cutter, etc. im trading him a short shaft dana 300 for him to build these. ill be working with him too though, so i guess its part labor, part dana 300 as payment.
i designed these in about 4 hours the other day.... at work
no autocad used here... yet

Looks good Chip. Are they going to be one piece like in the picture? The reason i ask is becuase that might make the installation pretty hard. Also, are the rear holes in the rockers just for looks because it seems like they would attract alot of mud, rocks, etc.

it will all be one piece, but it all slides in/out smoothly. the holes are for looks and are no different than the top of the rocker. lots of companys cut their logo into their rockers, like psc, but im not sure if im going to do that b/c ill probably need to get that done by a cnc.

I gotcha.
You gonna make it so you can use your stock inner fender or are you getting rid of the inner fender all together?

thanks, i appreciate it. i was actually thinking about it, i wonder how much it would take to start a small business designing new components and fabricating them to sell? i think my imagination can take me a long way, but i need a lot more than a good imagination to start a company.

Just by looking at all the companies that make rock rails, I can tell you that they are making some money. 200+ bucks for a pair of rock rails on a Cherokee is REdiculous. It's prob no more than $40 in materials.... I mean how much could 8' of 2x4 tube cost anyway... If you want to start the business I could contribute some fab ideas. I'll even help weld if you want. That is if you pay me enough... -RC

we are going to record all the measurements and keep the guides for this build so that we will have some sort of a template in case there are more "requests"
if i did start a business out of it, i couldnt do it alone thats for sure...
