haha... I know I already posted my plans around here somewhere.. but I got my chevy 350 and TH350 put in the Jeep over the weekend. I have a chevy 231 to go behind the transmission and waiting on the box4rocks adapter, then putting the d300 behind that. I also have a 14 bolt rear end and I am going to tube out the rear half and run air shocks and a 1 link. I am still looking for a GM D60 front and propane kit. But, I did get the Heep rolling again on some leaf springs and a dana 30 for the time being.

I am fixing to put 350 in J10 and want to see what you did.

I can take pictures later tonight when Anna gets home with the camera.... basically, I used the stock motor mounts at the engine, used the plasma to cut off everything except the triangular part that bolts to the block, welded tabs on the frame and use spring bushings and tube for the rest. I still have to add some gussets and clean it up a little, but they turned out pretty good. I had tube that would slide into the bigger tube so that I could put the mounts in place on the frame and then extend the tube out to the plate at the engine... but got lucky and cut them both right without having to use it.

I am fixing to put 350 in J10 and want to see what you did. sorry it took so long to get the pics up... here they are: as you can see, I just used the stock plates at the engine, just cut off the excess and cleaned them up some, used tubing with a 1.5 ID for the yj spring bushings. I cut the tabs out of 3/8 because that is just what I had.

the worst part was getting the old shock mounts and motor mounts off the frame.

How did you position the motor between the frame? Did you just hang it from a hoist and build the mounts to the frame?
Also, what is your motor? Is it fuel injected?

Is it fuel injected? yeah, pretty much hung it where I wanted and built the mounts to the frame. It is offset 1" to the driver's side for driveshaft clearance. It is a 350 and will be on propane.

Brad, did you call Rusty about the mixer and vaporizer? He wants $80 for the pair.

I haven't yet. I am supposed to be finding out about one local on Monday with tanks. I may get what he has too for the cj5 project. Hard to beat $80. pm me his email.
