I hope everyone got home fine. I had a blast. Rob's buggy is the bomb. I was again disappointed with Grey Rock and the crowds on Saturday but we found that on Sunday morning, most of the people are so disoriented that you can ride any trail you want with no waiting. We rode more Sunday morning in a hour than we did Saturday afternoon in five hours. That's generally the way it goes on big trips though. The competition on Sunday was worth the ride over there. I am amazed at the level that some of the vehicles have achieved. It seems that some people have unlimited funds to build these vehicles. I am just glad that they let us watch them tear them up. It felt so good to me to ride that I feel compelled to get to work to get my stuff together. Let's plan on a trip in the next couple of weeks, possibly before Thankgiving. I would like to go to Summertown. I have been telling people that this place probably not a nice place to ride and I haven't even been there yet. They are supposed to have real good camping facilities and that is the main thing that I would like to see.

Kept looking for you guys, met Brian there and didnt get to ride with him though. One of the guys busted his birfeild joint early Sat morning and kept trying to ride. Other than that and a small fire with the J10 on cable hill we managed to come thru the weekend pretty easy everyone was able to drive em all home. I hate I missed seeing the buggy in action. Had a bad run trying to get there though had a blowout on the trailer with the tracker on it 15 miles west of B'ham got it fixxed and then after getting to G-Rock found out my wifes Cherokee took a BOLT into the rear tire. Think our 2.5 hour drive there took us almost 7. Also with the bad tire didnt want to risk putting the tracker on the trailer home and drove it back. With my camber sitting like \ / and no sway bar at highway speeds it was a hellacious ride home heh. Also the guy that broke his birfield would have flipped his yota on buzzards roost friday afternoon had it not been for a tiny pine tree that caught him. I would be up for a 1 day trip maybe to gardendale if anyone knows the trails there.

We looked for you guys too, but for some reason we did not cross paths. I had my eyes open for the tracker. We will let this be a lesson to be a little more organized up front before we go. I was so busy working out last minute bugs that I didn't hardly have time to pack my own clothes. It was good to get away for the weekend, and I am glad to finally get a rig going again.

jwp i agree with you that sun. morning is the time to ride over there. most of my group was a bit disoriented, but thankfully i didn't partake in any of those activities sat. night. we got a lot of good riding in-went to poison rock(i think that's right) and box of possums, tub rock, loose rock and bents and dents. altogether i had a good weekend and only had an ignition switch go out and was able to drive up everything except poison rock when the switch quit.

we hit poison rock and box of possums sunday morning also. Then went to watch the competition. I enjoyed riding in the buggy saturday morning. I was also right behind David from CMSJA when he flopped on Stump Hill Sat. afternoon. a little nerve racking knowing I had to go up next. Several guys got some body damage, there were two broken drive shafts and a broken axle shaft. Overall a good trip.
