I think we should start getting together again for meetings...anyone else want to plan a night to eat and take over a restaurant here in Starkville?
How about the first Thursday in February? That's the 7th. No church that night, and it's not a weekend to take away from family time.
Who can come, who can't, and what night would be better?

Gonna be out of town on business training the first week of Feb (4-8). If ya'll choose another week, I'll be able to come. Thursday's in general are ok as well as Tuesday nights.

I'd be up for the 7th, but if it doesn't work for more folks I should be able to work out most Mon. through Thurs. evenings. Heck, I just look foward to putting a face with some of the screen names on here, and check out some rigs!

I am in for the 7th or any Tuesday or Thursday. Those are the nights that usually will have the least obligations. I do think it would be a good idea to get together over a meal soon.

All that sounds good...we need an enclosed restaurant that can accomodate all of us. I can eat anywhere!

Let's rule out Pepper's. We met there in the past and it was so loud that I could not hear myself think. I have been out of the Starkville scene for a while. Has anyone expereinced the food court in the new union @ MSU? Would that be out of the quesion? Please chime in and make suggestions.

The Union is nice and could certainly accomodate us. The food is markedly better than in the past with Sbarro, Chik-Fil-A, and three Aramark run restaurants: Bleeker St. (sandwiches, salads), Zoca (Mexican), and Miso (noodles and sushi). That would give people some choices.

What about parking in the middle of campus. Its been a while since I've parked there, but I thought that it was mostly faculty.

After 5:00 can you park anywhere?

Yeah, you can park anywhere after 5. Everyone could probably park in front of the bakery or in the Lee Hall parking lot.

I'd love to come and see some of the faces as well. It would be my first meeting, but the 5th more than likely wont work for me. I'm work nights until 9, and am off on Thursday and Friday. I'll try to swing by for a minute on the 5th.

Guys I am a little concerned with the weather situation setting up for this afternoon during our meeting time. The projections show that the storm will be starting around 4:00 P.M. and the brunt arount 6:00 P.M. It just does not feel right being 65 degrees @ 5:30 in the morning. Call me gun shy, but I went over and assisted the vocational dept at Caledonia school that was blown away and I saw some crazy stuff that wind can do. I am going to have my family bunkered down this afternoon so we will not be making the meeting. I was looking forward to this more than anyone. Should we reschedule?

Looks like there's a possibility for severe storms which may include hail. I've been watching the forecast on weather.com. I'm looking forward to this too.
Who's coming, and who's not? I can still go since I live about 1/2 mile from the Union. We just have another gathering next week. Same time, same place...
