according to Q-tec: 89.95 for the rear and 209.95 for the front... not sure why the big difference in price, may be a misprint. you can find them cheaper used or from other sources possibly.... don't forget your install kits too.

the reason I suggested that is because some lockers replace the carrier so you wouldn't have to buy it twice and set up the gears twice.

thanks for the offer craig, if you are going to be down here than i will surely wait for your help... it doesnt sound that hard, but i dont really want to screw anything up too bad, i will also be putting a mini spool in at the same time, i cant wait.... i will post some pics of the progress of my new toy tomorrow...

cool, yeah it's not hard, just have to have the right tools. that's why i asked about the bearings, b/c a bearing puller makes life so much easier. but if you don't change them it won't matter anyway.
bcjeep, call up randy's ring & pinion- they usually have good prices and carry high quality parts: dana-spicer, yukon, timken bearings, and most importantly to me- gear marking compound. you can't buy that stuff anywhere!

yeah, the marking compound will usually come with the install kit.

it should anyway. when i got my 4.88s, ox locker, and detroit from drivetrain direct the gear marking compound wasn't in there. had to set the gears up with plain white lithium grease, and it's just not the same.
