Hey guys, new to the site here (and it seems i'm the first one in a while). I'm an instructor up at CAFB. My last base I was stationed at was in Seattle Washington where I wheeled a tonned 75 CJ5 on 42's with full hydro. I sold it in the move so now I have a 98 TJ on 33's (currently street tires but I have a new set of Interco's new ND Iroks in my garage). I've also got a ford 8.8 with 4.10's sitting in my garage waiting for the perches to be welded on. I'm also looking for a front axle. Either an XJ hp D30 with 4.10's or a 70's ford hp D44 that I can cut down. Looking forward to meeting up with some of you guys and doing some work parties/wheeling. My wife and I just had our first baby (little girl) last week though so the jeep is taking a back seat for a while. But I'll around as she lets me get out of the house more and more. Welcome to the site. I will be intersted to hear how your TJ comes along. I have a '98 as well with 4" lift and 33's. I need to regear, but i am refusing to spend money on the rear dana 35. I have considered an 8.8 in the rear. Good luck with the baby. A youngun will change priorities, however I would not trade them for anything. They are a blessing especially when they are asleep. We would enjoy meeting you soon.

I didn't want to spend any money on the D35 either which is why I bought the 8.8. I looked around the local junkyards and happend to find one with 4.10's in it. It'll be a nice change from my stock 3.07's. If you want to have a regear party I'll be more than happy to come over and help out. I gonna go lower than 4.10's in the end anyway. Currently the jeep has a RE 4" lift on it along with a Shrockworks front bumper and Warn HS9500i.

The invitation is still open to use my shop and welder Thanks man, I'll have to take you up on that offer at some point in time. We just had our first little baby girl last week so the jeep work has been kinda on the back burner. I'll be in touch when I get some time to work on it. I'm trying to find a HP D30 from a cherokee to go in the front. The problem is that finding them with 4.10 gears is tough. I found a junkyard one down towards Philadelphia but they want $550 for it. That seems a little steep for a junkyard axle to me. Anyway, thanks again for the offer, I'll be in touch when the family gets a little more settled.

Hello. I am new to the site, but not new to off-roading and off-road forums. In fact, I recognize a couple of names on here already. My user name, 'Reserector', is the name I use on all forums. (Google it.) "Res" (rezz) for short. It is a combination of the word Resurrectionist and erector. I have a habit of salvaging and rebuilding junk. Then continue to build until I have something unique and (hopefully) valuable. My truck, "The Flaming Marshmallow" (Google THAT, too.) and my 1977 Travco motorhome are good examples. I own an off-road site called Mississippi-Mud.com and I wheel throughout the state and beyond. I found this site while searching some backlinks and site listings that include my site. My name is Mark. I am 47 years old. I am married and have two teenage sons that wheel with me. We also enjoy wilderness camping and backpacking. Although I do not currently own a Jeep, I feel that our interests are very similar. If it is alright, I would like to stop by and contribute from time to time. Y'all are welcome to do the same on MS-Mud. My trail rig (and DD) is a 1986.5 Nissan Hardbody King Cab 4x4. Its resurrection is a long story, so I will give you this link to my CarDomain site: www.cardomain.com/ride/2218930 It is about to get a HP D44 under the front. Here are some recent pics:

Cool man, welcome. Where is that first picture and those video's taken? The first pic is on the back road to Crown King in AZ. The video is from one of the rides I hosted in the DeSoto National Forest in Wayne County. The other pics are in my yard.
