What's your plans with it? Is it going to be a spare Jeep? You going to fix it up and sell it? Looks nice. Can't wait to see the after pics. -RC PS- nice cattle guard. You think it's big enough?

Doesn't everyone need a spare jeep? I'm not sure whether or not John is going to let us drive the '85, so we thought another might be in order. Right now our plan is to do pretty much the same thing with it that we did to the '85. The cattle guards (front and rear) are for sale. If anyone is interested, make us an offer.

Here is a picture showing the progress on the 84 CJ7. The body is remarkably solid, however, there are the usual rusted areas on the floorpan under the roll bar mounts. We've got some patch panels on the way.

A couple of folks have asked me to update them on the CJ7 project, so here is where we're at: This is Charles painting the stroker 4.0/4.7 engine with POR15 engine paint last week: This is Charles and Charlie installing the new Centerforce flywheel and clutch prior to mating the engine with the new SM420 tranny. Now the engine, tranny and transfer case are in the frame: The frame is already sitting on a 4.5" Rubicon Express suspension. The new axles are a Dana 60 in the rear and a Dana 44 in the front. Both axles are equipped with 4.56 gearing and ARB air lockers. We ordered the fuel injection system today.

All the parts for the fuel injection haven't arrived yet, but we're expecting them any day. We ran into a little snag on the front knuckles that we're having to work through. We've been prepping the underside of the body getting it ready for undercoating while we're waiting on the fuel injection parts. Drop on by the shop sometime and check it out. We're usually around there from 8-5 M-F.
