We need to start making some final plans for the Toys for Tots ride. That is only a week away. For a Saturday ride at Grayrock we usually pull out about 5 am and get there shortly after 8. Pulling a trailer we average about 70 - 75 MPH. If we caravan, we may want to leave sooner so if some are driving we won't be pushed. What are your thoughts and plans on this? I enjoyed meeting at Waffle House on 82 last time you guys went to Tellico.

Yeah waffle house is fine with me... I can leave anytime... and I can keep up with 70-75 as well... doesn't matter to me...

Hey Rob, can I throw my Iroks on your trailer or in the back of your truck? Ill be riding on my ATs there, and then Ill switch out. Does anyone have air tools to make changing the tires out quicker? I dont know if my ARB compressor puts out enough pressure to run some tools or not. Id still need a hose to fit air tools anyways. Waffle House sounds good to me too.

That won't be a problem at all. I have the York on-board air in the Bronco and will be taking air tools.

I think we should probably plan on rolling out of the waffle house at 4:30... that way we won't be rushed and also since there is road construction around B'ham... If anybody wants to eat they would have to get there earlier. Would this be okay with everyone?

Well, dont know if Ill be going or not, Danielles got to work on Saturday from 9:30 to 6, so I might have to keep Rylee for the day. Hopefully, I can get Danielles sister to take Rylee with her this weekend to the grandparents, but shes not sure if shes going yet or not.
.....Oh, and no, Danielle would never ever let me take Rylee wheeling with me, and I dont blame her.

well, I may be in the same boat as Chip. Due to me just now balancing the checkbook, it doesn't look like I will be going either... unless somebody has an extra seat.  if the guy that is buying my Rodeo gets me the money before Fri. I am still in. Wish me luck! |

Ummmmmm....... where are we staying? I say Best Western, about 10 minutes away from the park, if that, pretty cheap last time I went. They even gave us a discount when we told them we were there to go to Gray Rock.

guys i dont do mornings very well so im going to leave friday afternoon and party in b-ham friday night if anyone else is as lazy as i am and want to leave friday let me know and we can get together and head up there together 601-573-1946(leave measage ill call back if i dont answer) does anyone have the adress to that best western?

It is Best Western of Gardendale. I have been staying at the Days Inn in Fultondale lately. It is a little cheaper and a little bit easier parking with a trailer. I may also leave on Friday afternoon but do not know yet because I haven't finished putting my jeep together yet. |
