I'll be there and hoping to bring 2 other guys from work, they guy with the monster J10 said he will go and another guy with a jeep said if his other plans fall thru he will go as well.

I'm going up Friday night and staying at a friend's house in Birmingham. What time and where at are we meeting on Saturday? At Cracker Barrel again? Are you riding on Friday night as well? What's Brad's new cell phone number?

I won't get there in time to ride on Friday. most everybody is staying at the best western right there by the cracker barrel. I don't know exactly what time everybody will start riding but I would like to get an early start since the days are so short now. my # is 601-519-9576

Man, I wish I could go. I have an all-day workshop Sat. I have to attend. Yall take some pics. Maybe I can go on the next one. I might be able to make it to the meeting coming up.

We had a good trip. we had a large group show up. damage report: 2 sami drive shafts, one dana 35c explosion, one front axle, one sami rollover in the creek, one TJ driveshaft, and multiple blown beads... oh and rob broke his key and had to hotwire his truck. The boggers are awesome. I started out on Yellojacket, went up Rock Garden 1, down RG2, up RG3, and walked the dog up the Stairs. I have some video and will try to get some pics from it.

 Here is where I was going to attempt Yellowjacket and was doing ok considering my trucks stockness, until my air tube from the plenum to the air box came disconnected and was causing it to stall.  This is the Sammy that rolled, didnt get any pictures though I bailed out of the truck to go help didnt think of anything else. Super nice couple though and it was their first time offroading and he had just purchased the trucklet. They both said this didnt scare them and wont stop them from riding.   And here we are going up rock garden 1(I think it was 1 at least) While on Yellow Jacket and the truck was stalling out someone said it was cause it was flooded(with the intense angle and a full tank my overflow tube was dripping fuel out.) So as they went to pop my gas cap to relieve pressure I heard,"Dude your key just broke you got another?" Needless to say the answer was no amazing the short work a flathead screwdriver and a 3 lb hammer can do to an ignition switch. Then once I got the wheel lock released and backed down the rest of the way THEN discovered the air tube disconnected  . Damage total that I have found is of course my ignition switch, right rocker panel damaged enough I had to use the aforementioned hammer to make it so the door would close, antenna , and my right mirror. Other than that was a fun trip  |
